Maytag Washing Machine makes noise during spin cycle

Main Symptom: Loud noise on the spin cycle. Sound ongoing for about 7 months. No other problems. Machine is 11-12 years old.
What happens & when: Anytime the washer is on spin cycle, it is very loud. It does have a bit of noise when I spin the drum manually. It’s not out of level and there are no vibrations coming from it. Would this sound be a bearing in the gearbox or something else going bad? Machine never used to be so loud.
