What drain switch? Is it just that the clothes are sopping wet, or is there standing water left in the tub?

the drain switch in the bottom of the washer that kicks the drain on an they are sopping wet with a small amount of water standing and the washer spins ok
I am not aware of any drain switch. What is the part number for said switch. You may have an obstruction in the drain hoses, a bad pump or slipping belt. If the belt was slipping, you should notice a slower spin speed though.

sorry it was the pump i was talking about an no it dont slow down an if it was hoses plugged wouldnt it do it every time
An obstruction could shift around. It could also be a piece of clothing got between the tubs and is at the bottom where the drain hole is which could also shift around, sometimes blocking more than other times. Just brainstorming. You have a new pump and you say the belt isn’t slipping so I don’t know what else it could be. There is a sub-interval spray function that adds water during spin but it should spin long enough after that to spin/drain all the water out.
