Maytag Washer

The washer does not drain and stops after the rinse cycle. Not sure if it is the timer or the pump. I tried to advance the cycle, but it still does not drain. I am also looking for a repair manual for this washer and can not find one, Any suggestions. I also need top know how to disconnect the front cycle knob from the control panel so I can disconnect the timer. Thanks
