From what I can tell, the way to remove the top is to use a putty knife to push the clip in. The clip seems to move all the way back to a stop but the top remains tightly in place. What am I doing wrong?
The top removal problem has been solved. Rather than using a putty knife, the key to removing panels is to remove 2 screws near the bottom of the front panel.
New problem: During fill, water gushes from a plastic part (not broken) that is inserted between 2 hoses in the fill plumbing. One hose comes from the fill valve, the other goes to the tub. The hose from the fill valve has a part inserted inside that also sits inside the plastic part. ANy idea why this is leaking? (I could attach a picture if teh description is not clear.)
You may want to install the new injector hose kit to fix this problem.

Thanks for that. I was having some trouble finding the part.

So it worked for awhile. Actually, the local appliance guy talked me into just replacing the hose from the valve, i.e. the part with the injector inside. Now its leaking again. I suspect from other posts that replacing the entire injector (2 hoses + plastic part) will also fail to solve the problem. WHat about eliminating the (open) plastic part altogether?
It can be a good solution.
