The washer spins very fast and is very loud when it spins, it sounds like it is an airplane engine taking off. It spins just as fast in all 3 cycles, even delicate, where it used to spin at a slower rate. The sound is whirring and whining, again, like an airplane engine, and it keeps getting louder and louder, and eventually can be heard all over our large 2 story home.
Remove the two screws under the edge at bottom of the front panel. Swing the front panel out from bottom to disengage spring fasteners from the top panel. Run the washer and watch for a water leak from the center of the outer tub. Very likely this sound caused by a faulty bearing.
How did you determine that the spin speed is much higher than it suppose to be?

It was originally leaking and we had some parts replaced. It is no longer leaking, I believe. It is spinning faster because of the vibration and the clothes travelling higher up the side of the washer, the water travelling up the sides of the washer which disallows it from emptying properly. When run in the Delicate mode, where the spin was slower than the regular cycle, it appears to be now the same speed.

It sounds to me like the drain pump does not work properly or the drain hoses are clogged. You also may want to check the belts.
Which parts and when did you replace? Did you do it yourself?

Maytag has a kit for replacing the seals and bushing of the 2 tubs and these were replaced. So, everything from the bottom tub up is replaced. What bearing did you think was faulty and where is it located? I don’t think it is a pump problem, when the washer is stopped and restarted so it is spinning at a slower rate, it empties OK. There is the mounting stem repair kit (#29 on the diagram) which should be used in case of water leak and there is also the tub bearing kit (#20 & #21) which recommended to use together with the mounting steam repair kit. I meant the tub bearing kit.
If stopping and restarting the washer helps to lower the spin speed, then the problem can be a bad timer.
