My washer started to leak from the bottom. Doesn’t look like any of the external hoses, but not sure what it looks like on the inside. We’ve always purchased warranty’s for all of our appliances, but decided to not renew this time around and sure enough … something goes wrong. My manual doesn’t give instructions on how to take any of the panels off to see what’s going on inside. Any idea where I start? How do I open the panels … where should I look first. We filled up the tub and it starts leaking the moment water starts filling the tub up. Everything else seems to be working fine.
Are there 2 screws at bottom of front panel? Remove. Lift panel up from base.
Underneath? There are no screws at the bottom of the front panel. There are 3 screws at the bottom of the side panels on each side.
Ok.
There are clips on top of front panel.Use a putty knife on small flat blade screw driver.Push them in and lift top up.Clips are located between front panel and top panel.
Are you sure there are not 2 phillips head screws on front panel near bottom??
Yes, I’m positive there are no screws on bottom of front panel … unless you’re referring to underneath the washer … if so, then I have no idea. So you’re saying to take the flat screwdriver and go in between the crack of the top panel and front panel and just push near the end of each corner to unlock these clips? I’m going to try that out.
Yep.I’ll be here waiting:)

I tried that and I think I can feel the clips being pushed down, but the top panel is not lifting up. Is it supposed to lift up easy, because if that’s the case than I obviously am not pushing in the clips. For one, I don’t think I have the right tools either (butter knife and spatula, since those were the thinnest that would enter in between the cracks) My brother will be coming over today to see if he can help … so frustrating.

I spent a good two hours last night searching the web trying to find help. Finally I found this website and posted my question … and I’m so grateful for the responses. I did run across some videos, but I know it depends on how you word things too. I will try it out again using your suggestion. Thanks for the link too.
