Model number is faded so cant read from the label , however i have attached its video in the original post

Found this for a washer similar to yours. I suggest trying to run diagnostics

For the Maytag MHW5630HW0, use the following procedure to enter diagnostics and run the automatic test cycle. These Whirlpool-built front-load washers use the same service diagnostic sequence.

Enter Service Diagnostics

  1. Washer must be in Standby (plugged in, all indicators off).

  2. Close the door.

  3. Using any 3 buttons except Power/Start, perform:

    • Button 1

    • Button 2

    • Button 3

    • Button 1

    • Button 2

    • Button 3

    Complete the sequence within 8 seconds.

Example:

  • Soil Level

  • Temp

  • Spin

  • Soil Level

  • Temp

  • Spin

If successful, all LEDs illuminate and “888” (or all segments) appears.

Check Stored Error Codes

  • Once in diagnostics, the most recent fault code displays first.

  • Press the same button used as Button 3 to advance through stored codes.

  • Codes display as:

    • F# E#

    • Example: F9E1 = Long Drain.

Write down every code shown before clearing anything.

Run Automatic Diagnostic Test

  1. After entering diagnostics, rotate/select until Automatic Test appears (varies slightly by software version).

  2. Press Start.

  3. The washer will automatically test:

    • Door lock

    • Hot valve

    • Cold valve

    • Drain pump

    • Tumble motor

    • Spin function

The cycle typically takes several minutes. Stop immediately if excessive vibration, grinding, or water leakage occurs.

Clear Fault Codes

While viewing codes:

  • Press and hold Start for about 3 seconds until codes clear.

Yes, you’ve got it exactly right! On your Maytag MHW5630HW0 washer, Standby Mode means the washer is plugged into the electrical outlet, but the control panel is turned OFF. You should not press the Power button before entering diagnostics.

The washer should have no cycle running, no lights illuminated on the control panel, and the door closed.

One important detail: The cycle selector position doesn’t matter when entering diagnostics. You don’t need to position it on Normal or between two cycles.

Try entering Service Diagnostics this way

  1. Make sure the washer is plugged in and no cycle is running.
  2. Press Power to turn the washer OFF if the display is illuminated.
  3. Wait about 10 seconds.
  4. Choose three different buttons on the control panel, other than Power or Start/Pause.
  5. Press those same three buttons in the following sequence:

Button 1 → Button 2 → Button 3 → Button 1 → Button 2 → Button 3

6. Complete the entire sequence within approximately 8 seconds.

If the sequence is accepted, the control panel should illuminate or display diagnostic information.

One correction to my instructions above: The complete sequence is actually nine button presses, not six. You must repeat the three-button pattern three times within 8 seconds. This could explain why nothing happened when you tried it.

If it still doesn’t respond

Try these checks:

  1. Unplug the washer for one minute, reconnect power, and wait at least 30 seconds.
  2. Try the nine-button sequence again, using short, deliberate presses.
  3. If nothing happens, turn the washer on normally and check whether each of those three buttons responds and changes its setting.
  4. If one button doesn’t respond, choose a different button and retry.

If all the buttons work during normal operation but diagnostics still won’t activate, we may need to investigate the user interface or its communication with the main control.

One question: When you press the buttons with the washer powered off, does the display remain completely dark, or does it light up or beep at any point?

That will help narrow down why the diagnostic sequence isn’t being accepted.

It did work for me when i repeated the sequence of 3 buttons 3 times
