Maytag washer is louder than normal

Main Symptom: Loud noise on spin cycle. Sound when I spin the tub by hand. Would this mean the bearings or belt are going out?

With the noise on the spin and when spinning the tub by hand, this would be a bearing that is faulty and would need to replace the gearcase.
