I have a Maytag LAT5000AAW that’s draining slowly which seems to be causing an overflow issue. Here are the specifics:
I discovered a large puddle under the washer and saw that it wasn’t draining. I pulled the front panel and unhooked the hose to manually drain the tub. when I pulled the input hose to the pump, there was a large chunk of debris in the top of the pump. I removed the junk and now the pump functions but it doesn’t seem to be moving as much water as it should. I checked all the hoses and there don’t seem to be any obstructions. Is it possible that the chunk of junk partially damaged the impeller to the extent that it still moves water but just not enough?
Any ideas are appreciated.
