Maytag washer doesn't complete the last spin cycle

Main Symptom won’t drain
What happens & when: it won’t complete the last spin cycle which leaves water so that the clothes are soaking wet. also makes a loud clacking noise when you just put it on spin cycle

If the unit is not draining, check to ensure that the drain pump is not clogged and make sure that it is getting 120 vac when it is supposed to drain. If it is getting 120 vac but not draining and no clogs then replace the drain pump.
