Once in a while (not every time), despite our washer being set to Normal Cycle, instead of filling with water and doing a Normal Cycle, it will simply start a Spin cycle.

It seems to work perfectly right other than this. If it actually goes into a Normal cycle, it runs through it correctly. If it is on Delicate or other cycles, it seems to run them properly. If it incorrectly enters the Spin cycle, that seems to start, run and end the way a Spin cycle normally would.

So it is just this issue of whether it decides to start a Normal Cycle or whether it decides to run a Spin instead.

We tried unplugging it for 15 minutes. Sometimes that helps. Sometimes not.

Usually after it completes the unwanted spin cycle, it will then run the Normal cycle ok. But that is not every time either. Sometimes it will again start an unwanted Spin.

I don’t think it is just trying to finish an interrupted spin either. Last night I ran a Delicate Cycle with no problems all the way to finish. Then put it on Normal this morning, pushed start and it went in to the unwanted Spin.

Any ideas? Thanks.
