My maytag oven says CAL and wont do anything with the oven part. Please help:(
CAL is probably short for calibrate. Used to calibrate the oven temperature many ovens let you do this to plus or minus 35 degrees F.
Unfortunately I cannot find any info on how to clear it or how to set it.
Usually you have to push certain keys in sequence or together to enter the calibrate mode.
Perhaps the info is in your operators manual.
I would try unplugging the unit for 5 minutes or so to see if it will reset.
