My girlfriend and I recently moved into an apartment and straight away the dryer didn’t work. When you put in even a small load, regardless of what cycle, the clothes don’t dry and the lint gets stuck to the dryer door with only a little bit on the lint filter.
The landlord came out yesterday and used a brush to clean out the vent tube (not sure if he just did the tube or did the dryer as well) and it seemed to work. I used it for two very small loads and it dried maybe 90%. Then this morning, I ran a small load of flannel sheets and it’s back to the same problem. A friend suggested that the vent might be blocked, but then decided it has to be the dryer as their doesn’t seem to be any heat coming out when it runs (we ran it a bit with the door open).
I’m curious if anyone has any thoughts? Thanks!

GB,
You could still have a clogged, restricted, or long vent. Try this, disconnect the exhaust vent tube from the back opf the dryer, and dry a load, an average type and size load should take 30 to 40 minutes to dry. If it works , the landlord needs to have the vent pipe and hood checked and cleaned.
