Maytag not draining all the way

Hey guys appreciate any help with troubleshooting!! My maytag washer seems to only be draining in the spin cycle when i slam the door before starting the load. Not sure what can cause this any help would be great !! fyi just installed a new drain pump. still having issue

Check the door latch switches. Make sure they are properly engaged when the door closed. Never slam the door.

thanks gene i will check that out the door lock is engaging for some reason i think it might be a short, i heard similar issues i just don’t know what part to replace
