Maytag Neptune Water partially drains

My Maytag Neptune Washer Model MAH3000AWW, Serial 35269627WB drains the visible water that can be seen inside the drum, but then does not drain the rest of the water that remains between the drum and its enclosure( I can hear the water in there when I turn drum by hand).

There may well be an obstruction in the internal drain hoses and/or the pump. Check them out as a first step.

If they are ok, the problem may be a failing pump.

Would that cause the machine not to work properly as far as the amount of time the washer spins?
