Hi!
When I start my washing machine, water immediately flows in - the detergent is washed in, and then 2 minutes into the cycle, the machine goes into a “holding pattern”. It swishes around lazily for about 20 minutes, and then goes to an “nF” error code. I believe this means that it’s not getting enough water to continue the cycle.
I’ve removed all the relevant hoses and run water through them, nothing appears clogged. Is this an intake valve issue? And if so, is it just the hot, or just the cold, or both? How much will it cost to replace them?
Thank you!
Since water is flowing in the problem is likely in the water level sensor.
Change it out and see if that fixes things. If not, the problem may be the main control unit.
Sorry not to be more definite, but this model is difficult to diagnose, and that is about the best we can do. It is what a tech would do if he or she came to your house.
Thanks! I actually had a great repair guy (thanks Ike!!) come out today. It took him all of five minutes to diagnose the situation. The hot water intake valve was not operating, so any combination of warm or hot-water cycle was just not filling enough of the tank to carry on in the cycle. (Note to folks in a similar situation: check the valves - it is unlikely they are both out at the same time - run a cycle on all cold, and then all hot just to see which valve is the problem one.) I’ve ordered the hot water valve - not a difficult installation at all!
In terms of the leak, it was the water pump hose with a hole - a much bigger problem, because the water was spurting directly into the motor and rusting it out.
Glad both problems were fixed!
Great, glad you got it fixed, hope it was not too expensive and thanks for updating us.
