Maytag Neptune Drying Center "dd" code

I have a Maytag Drying Cabinet MCE8000AYW. It is making beeping noises and lights flash randomly. Sometimes the letters “dd” appear in the time countdown area of the lower dryer.

I have shut off power at the breaker box because it starts up by itself.

Thanks. I’ll order one. Is this fairly easy to replace once I have the console off?

It’s plug and play.

I turned off the breaker. I opened the console and found a troubleshooting manual. It said that stopping and starting might be due to dust on the motor. I opened the front panel of the dryer and found a ton of dust. After vacuuming I reassembled the dryer. It works like new.
