Bought a used maytag centennial washer, the previous owners had a repair man look at it and said the timer was bad. Replaced timer, but the washer is not doing anything. Won’t fill with water, tried to go to a spin cycle, still nothing. Any idea’s what to try next?? Could it be the circuit board that plugs into the timer?
Thanks for any help!
Sounds like the lid switch but depends on specific model. I would need to see a clear photo of your wiring diagram and timer chart. Should be inside the control panel or on the inside of the back panel. There are variations between models as to how they are wired. The circuit board on the timer would only prevent the timer from advancing if it was faulty, the washer would still work when advanced manually.
