Main Symptom: won’t leave Sensing cycle
What happens & when: won’t shift out of sensing cycle
The most common fix for this problem is the clutch. I ordered the clutch (W10754448) from Appliance Parts Pros. We believe the part is bad because a multimeter reads “OL” on the contacts. Customer service didn’t respond to an online message for a full day, then I called in and was informed I have to post on here before I can return the bad part. We’ve always had good luck ordering from you all, but will have to look at other vendors.

The goal is to test the clutch I purchased to see if you all did send me a bad part. Customer service told me to check here for instructions on how to test the clutch and won’t offer a return or refund until I get that answer. The multimeter shows no resistance in the clutch sent to me.
Hi, an OL (Open Loop) reading on your multimeter means the electromagnetic clutch coil has an open circuit and will need to be replaced.
A good clutch should normally show resistance across the coil terminals, roughly 1.75–15 ohms, depending on the exact clutch.
Since yours is reading OL, the internal winding has most likely burned or broken open. This prevents electrical current from flowing through the coil, so the clutch cannot engage.
At this point, I would recommend replacing the electromagnetic clutch.
