Maytag MTW5800TW0 Drive Unit Won't come out

Main Symptom: I am replacing the clutch and have followed the video instructions, when I get to the step of removing the drive unit, it won’t come out.
What happens & when: I have removed the agitator, and clips, pump wiring harness and the three bolts. Unit moves an inch or so then hangs up when I am trying to pull it out.

Hello, try removing the tub nut that holds the basket in place over the drive shaft, see if that helps.
