Hello,
Brand: Maytag
Model # MSD2555DR
Ice dispenser panel buttons have no power
Buttons show no green lights and they don’t do anything now.
My question is: Is there a separate control board for the ice dispenser buttons or are they controlled from a single main board? All other fridge functions seem to be working properly.
I can get the board from a place near my house. What I would like to know is:
Does the main refrigerator control board control any part of the freezer door ice dispenser control panel or is the door control panel solely responsible for those controIs? I don’t want to spend $200 on the wrong part.
In the fountain area, there is an electronic control and a button control board. The electronic control is available, but the manufacturer has discontinued the the button control board/UI and it is no longer available (WP61003421)
What I found is that WP61003425 is the main control panel for the refrigerator and freezer. There is a separate control panel for the ice dispenser located behind the dispenser controls with part number WP61003421.
Just a quick update. There are two different circiut boards behind the ice dispenser panel. One is for the push button controls, the other controls the other icemaker functions. I bought a replacement for this second board and installed it with no problems. However, when I pushed a glass against the dispenser tab, there was a loud pop and the new board instantly fried. So I think there’s a dead short in the dispenser tab button (which is discontinued and no longer available). Shame on me for not diagnosing this before spending 155 bucks on the new board.
