Main Symptom:Won’t spin
What happens & when:When I try to start the washer the drum rotates once, then will not turn. The drain pump runs

Error Code (if any):
Parts or tests already tried:I have checked and cleaned the inlet screens. I have removed and cleaned the drain pump. It functions fine. I removed the rear panel, the drove pulley and belt are fine. The drum can be turned by hand and there are no unusual noises. I plugged the washer in with the belt off. I attempted to start a drain and spin cycle bI can watch the motor spin for a few seconds and it stops, the drain pump activates. Any advice or suggestions about what to check next ? I don’t want to just start replacing parts that don’t need replacing .

If you press the soil level button for 2-5 seconds, release it for 2-5 seconds, press it for 2-5 seconds, release it for 2-5 seconds, then press it for 2-5 seconds and release the button, all of the console LEDs should turn on for 5 seconds and the display should show any stored error codes. Does an error code show up, and if it does, what code is it? If there are multiple codes, The first code would be the most recent error and it will show any other codes starting with the most recent first to the oldest last.
