Maytag mde3050agw

Brand: Maytag
Model Number: mde3050agw
Main Symptom: Dryer stops mid cycle
What happens & when: When in auto mode, or using the timer, the dryer will run for a while then stop before it completes. After that, I am unable to restart the dryer. Turning off the dryer and leaving it for a few hours allows it to work again. I suspect perhaps that it is overheating. The dryer also now sounds like it probably needs new bearings, which happened at the same time, so probably related.

Error Code (if any): N/A
Parts or tests already tried: As above.

Hello, that sounds like your motor is overheating and tripping on the internal overload. When the motor cools down, it runs again until it overheats again. You will need a new motor in that case. W10197708 Drive Motor | Genuine Whirlpool OEM In Stock

That is essentially the conclusion I came to yesterday after more testing. Going to check to see where the squeak/squeal is coming from today in case there is something else that is causing the motor to overheat.
