If you set the timer to a spin section and the lid down, will it spin or does it stay off?
After setting the timer to a spin section with the lid down, the washer stays off.
It is very likely that the fuse in the lid switch assembly has failed. With the power supply turned off, the washer front panel can be removed, followed by removing the screws securing the washer top panel to the front frame. This will allow the washer top panel to be slid forward, giving access to the switch assembly to test the fuse. The fuse should have continuity unless it has failed.
