washer fills when the dryer button s pished, but nothing else will work. I have replaced the washer timer, and the dryer timer. I called Maytag, and the responce was " thats interesting, thats not supposed to happen."
Anyone have this happen?

I’ve seen similar problems like this(not exactly like this one). Usually, you’ll find that there is a problem in the power supply to the laundry product. check and make sure your power cord and wiring at the terminal block on the back of the dryer are good and tight and there are no loose connections.
Do you have a multi meter, so you can check voltage at the outlet or terminal block when you start the machine ?
Improper voltage, under a load can cause all kinds of problems.
