Do you mean that the ice maker is overfilling and dumping water into the ice bin? Are the cubes coming out of the ice maker with heavy “bridging” between them?
yes that is what is happening
On this style that means you’ve either got a bad ice maker AP6037857 that’s telling the valve to stay open too long or a bad valve AP6019288 over by the water filter.
There isn’t a good way to test which it is. If it seems like there has been water leaking from the fill tube into the ice maker I’d start with the valve, if not I’d start with the ice maker, but it could be either one.
