I changed both oven temperature sensors. I still get a F1-1 after about 10 minutes operating . When I cancel and shut the oven off, the stoves still beeps and shows the code. It seems that the fault code keeps showing after the cancellation. Subsequently the F3-1 code displays. I reinstalled the sensors and still get the codes. Is the the key pad the next item to replace. This is costly about $300…should pursue or look for some other problem.. Thanks

Purchased it in Oct 1999. It’s model number MER6770AAC
An incident today F1-1 happen when my wife was just using the cook top burners. She was using the timer at the same time. Does this indicate the control panel needs to be replaced or have any less expensive ideas?
Thanks
Pull the range and remove the back cover and the rear cover for the control panel.
Locate the two wires from the upper oven temperature sensor connected to the control board. Disconnect them (or unplug if there is a plug) from the control board and measure the oven sensor resistance.
It suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature.
If the reading is correct then replace the control board.
If the reading is wrong then measure the oven sensor resistance at the sensor plug (where it’s coming through the back wall).
If the reading is correct then the problem is a wire harness.
Thanks Gene
I had to replace the control panel. I just noticed now that the oven lights aren’t working. I guess I’ll try new bulbs. We don’t think the lights were working prior to replacing the board.
Bulbs tested ok so now what’s my problem. I can here the switch go on and off either way by opening the doors and by using the light on/off on the control panel…HELP
