In my case, and couple of others here on forum, problem was a broken wire between the sensor and the CCU unit.
In the rear behind and below the tub enclosure, the sensor wire was attached to the tub and then joined another bundle of wires at a wire tie.
At that tie, the tub vibrations had flexed the wire until it broke, first inside the wire’s insulation so the F3E2 was intermittent, and then finally breaking the insulation also, so F3E2 became permanant.
