The door latch on my Maytag Bravos Dryer, Model mgdb800vq0, seems to be broken and thus the dryer door won’t close. The “female” latch attached to the dryer door is loose and thus will not line up with the “male” side of the latch on the dryer to secure the door. I could just swap the latch from the other side of the reversible swing door, but I cannot remove either of these latches. How do I remove the latch so that it can be repaired or replaced?
Old post, I know. I switched out the latches like you talked about, but had to take the door off, and open it up. I suppose you could get lucky prying the latches out but not worth risking the damage that would be caused.
