Maytag dishwasher

Main Symptom:

Hi,

I have a Maytag dishwasher…

type: 577-1

model: MDB4949SHZ0

Serial number: F91613226.

Something is wrong with it, it stops mids cycle, sometimes after a few seconds and some times after a few minutes…

Things I tried to do to fix it:

1. Cleaning the filter and the related components thoroughly.

2. Hard reset.

The above didn’t help so, I ran a diagnostic cycle a couple times and the cycles ended after about 5 minutes with 3 short beeps followed by 1 long beep.

The Internet suggested to replace the door latch so, I did, and then I did a hard reset again and ran a quick wash to test but, it stopped mid cycle after a few minutes again.

I ran the diagnostic cycle again and got the same 3 beeps followed by a long beep… The Internet suggests a faulty control board…

It also suggested to turn off the breaker, unplug the touch pad and turn on the breaker back and if the pump will run, it means bad touch pad and if nothing happens, it means a bad control board… In my case nothing happened…

So, what do you think?
What happens & when:

Error Code (if any): 3 beeps followed by 1 long beep on a diagnostic cycle mode
Parts or tests already tried: new door latch switch installed

This one shows codes by flashing the Clean LED in sequences, giving the F or function code first, pausing 2 seconds, then the E or problem code. So like, 3 flashes, 2 second pause, then repeat 2 more times before going to the next code.

Is your clean light flashing any sequences when you go into diagnostic mode?

Here’s the service manual on that one if it helps at all.

Thanks for the service manul, it helped a lot, I was getting 6-4 flashing sequence, according to the manual at the 6-4 chart, the only thing that checks out, is a bad control board, will try to replace it. Thanks again.
