i have a maytag dishwasher model mdb4100awb serial 10314950wq can you tell me how old this unit is and there is a sticker on the door that says control lock or unlock it shows a picture to hold something for 3 seconds what and where do i check to see if my kids locked the contorls all of a sudden it quit working and will not do nothing

Not sure on your model, but most models (if they have a locking option) you simply press and hold a button or two for a few seconds to lock or unlock. The buttons are marked with a lock symbol, at least the ones I have seen.
