Sticks in wash cycle right before rinse with heating delay light on. Move the knob manually to rinse it will complete cycle. Already put new timer in and have same problem.
The cause of the problem could be very cold incoming water (much bellow recommended by the manufacturer 120°F) or something wrong in the heating circuit (the heater or the thermostat under the dishwasher).
Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag dishwasher Model DWU7400AAX

Opened the door when cycle stalls, water is very hot.
You may want to check this, could cause many problems.

Have you tried it with the Temp Sense set to off?
If yes does it complete the cycle?
I mhaving same problem with my dishwasher/ same model also.
Did you do anything to diagnose the problem? Did you follow the instructions from the previous replies?
Gene.
It completes cycle with temp sensor off
mine also completes cycle with temp. sensor off.
Most likely the problem is a bad boost thermostat (#15 on the diagram), but here is a small chance for the control board to be bad too. In order to provide the correct part number for the boost thermostat we need the serial number of the dishwashers.
