Maytag Atlantis, Won't heat

I’m at my wits end. I cannot find the fault.

Dryer runs and blows air but it’s not hot. I have checked continuity on both thermal fuses, thermostats, and the heater, everything is within resistance ratings. I also did a visual inspection of the heater and it all looks fine just to make sure it wasn’t burnt or broken but still touching.

Tried running it in Intellidry and Time Dry modes.

Switches for the temperature control all have continuity.

Checked the panel fuse, not tripped, 120 coming from each side, 240 steady when measured together at the outlet and on the terminal block inside the dryer.

Duct work is all clear.

Ideas?

Hi.
Check if there is 240VAC at the heater contacts. If not-
Disconnect one leg from the heater and trace the one with out the 120VAC up the line.
The BLK wire goes to the motor switch and to L2. The BRN through the all thermostats and controls to the timer.

Thank you. Post the results.

There is no power going to the heater when it’s running. Trying to trace it out now. Thanks.

I traced it back to this part WHIRLPOOL 306911 T/stat - Multi Temp, AP4037746 | AppliancePartsPros.com

I am not getting continuity across the copper connectors (black and white wires)

I took it to the local repair shop and it tested fine on their multi-meter but on mine I get nothing and it’s a bit of an expensive part to take a gamble on it not working.

Is there another method for testing this part to make sure it works outside of ohm-meter/continuity?

Hi.

The thermostat is good. To check resistance of the copper contacts you need to set your meter to 10Kohm.
Do you have 120VAC to the heater from the motor switch?
