If it, and all of the electrics check out your problem may be in the gas burner system.

Your thoughts ??

Your machine has a cycling thermostat which it appears you have not checked.

Where would I find this cycling theromostat, and what does it look like? I have had the front, top, and back of where the knobs are, and I don’t see anything else that even remotely looks like a thermostat???

It looks like the one in the picture. It should be on the blower housing. If you do not have one check to make sure you have 120 volts to each side of the connection block (I am assuming this is an electric dryer). If it is gas see the other posts on this Forum about gas coils and dryer not operating.

This is an old post, but, I found it via a web search for the same problem with the same model dryer. For future reference, the problem with this dryer is/was the Thermal Fuse. It is located at the top rear left of the dryer towards the bottom of the heating element (little hard to see and to get to). The part number for this fuse is 53-1096 (or AP4056527), but, the suggested fix is to replace both it and the High-Limit Thermostat (part# 53-0771 or AP4056436 as noted in original post) as its failure to operate properly is what caused the fuse to blow. The High-Limit Thermostat is located just above the heating element and has a large blue sticker on it. Both these parts come in a kit that includes replacement parts for both electric and gas dryers. The part number for the repair kit is LA-1053 and is commonly available on the web for around $25. I found the best bargain on feeBay for about $12.
