Manual Door Lock Release?

I have a one month old Maytag Maxima front loader. I was doing laundry last night and I heard a terrible noise and now the door won’t unlock.

My hypothesis is that some change fell out of someone’s pocket, is blocking the drain, so there is still water in the tub and it won’t unlock.

I’ve tried all trouble shooting listed in the manual and on the web.

Is there a way to manually release the door latch? The problem seems easy enough to fix, I just can’t get into the washer to take care of it.

There should be tech notes under the top cover or inside the lower service panel.
