I have a dry that just stop working. when I tried to turn it on by pushing the start button it just made a buzzing noise and you can smell it burning as if it want to turn on but no response?![]()
Try turning the drum by hand. Should turn fairly easily.
This may take 2 people
Open the door
Manually hold the door switch closed
Push the start button and manually rotate the drum in the correct direction.
Watch your knuckles in case it starts up.
If it does start up, odds are high that you need a new motor.
I tried that and it only made that buzzing noise for a second and then it even stop that after the second try so is that the motor and if so is this something that i can repair on my own if i buy the part.

As long as the drum turned fairly easily by hand the odds are high it is the motor. What happens is the motor is trying to start and cannot. It heats up and trips itβs internal thermal cutout. Then you get nothing.

You did not have a Model Number so I could not look up the part for you.
As long as you have some mechanical ability and a few tools it is not an overly difficult job.
Here is a link that should help.
