Main control board problem?

Kitchenaid side/side built-in with working components on top

My frigerator and freezer suddenly warmed and I noticed that the temp displays appeared incorrect, sometimes blinking and occasionally blank. The compressor runs continuously with some cooling of the freezer but little to no air circulation and essentially no cooling of refrigerator.

Since the displays were acting up I jumped to the conclusion that the user interface control board was faulty and replaced it with a new one (new part 2320696, replaced part 2302913). Unfortunately nothing has changed and I made a costly error.

Is the problem the main machine control board on top? Where is this located exactly? Also there is a regular faint beeping sound coming from an aluminum box on top right that many wires enter…

Any advice/help is greatly appreciated!!!

Yes it could be the main control board.
Try running the diagnostics.
Normally I would say that your symptoms sound like a defrost problem but that does not apply to an inverter unit though it would not hurt to check the couils just to make sure that they are not heavily frosted/iced over.
The problem is that I do not think this would mess up your display.

Have you tried disconnecting/reconnecting the plugs on the control board?

An inverter type compressor does run all the time.

Bruce, the control board, you need to replace is right next to the compressor in the back. It is inside a white box, next to the compressor, and is held in by 2 screws. Remove the screwsd, and pull the box out. Of Course, the refrig is unplugged when you do this. The part # is 2259350. Thanks a million for the help!!!

I am a less than average joe with a screwdriver, a hammer and just enough courage to get myself into a lot of trouble “fixing” things, so I have no tools to run diagnostics…

The coils have always have been warm and dry during this episode. The condenser fan has never come on either.

There is a rectangular grey plastic box mounted next to the compressor apparently closed by two screws, one of which is covered/sealed by a plastic resin-like material filling the seat. I guess I will try to open this??

Is part 2259350 the same or equivalent to AP4411082?

After looking at the awsome service manual you attached I see that the main control board in on the right mounted on the housing that covers the coils. The plastic box I previously referred to is tha inverter and I won’t touch that!
