Main board in LG washing machine burn up

Brand:lg
**Model Number:**WM4500HBA
Main Symptom: won’t power up
What happens & when: I replaced the main board with a used one because I didn’t know if that was the whole problem plug the machine in the red LED momentarily flashes on I have 120 V going to that board. I do not think I have power going to the control panel. I’m not sure if the used board is any good. any ideas? There isn’t any lights on the front control panel when powered up.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Error Code (if any): no error codes because I cannot get the display to work
Parts or tests already tried: used main board

You could test at the main control board to see if there is voltage from the main control board to the display board.

When the red light goes out on the main board I loose power out

This does sound like it would be a faulty control board.

I am leery of buying a new board since I don’t know what caused the original one to literally burn up. My wife heard a loud pop, and it started smoking. It wasn’t running at the time.

Should the red light on the circuit board stay on with only the two power plug-ins coming from the the voltage filter thing plugged into it all other plug-ins unplugged
