Magic Chef model 3458XVA Door hinge replacement. How is it done

Parts or tests already tried: Have removed the door. Need to know how to remove/replace the hinges. Do the side panels need to be removed? If so, what other parts need to be removed.

Hello, it is not a hard repair. The range needs to be pulled out to access the hinges. There are I believe, side panels that have to come off. Once you see the hinges, it is a matter of swapping them out, it’s just getting to them.

It is not obvious to me how to remove the side panels. I removed the screws on the backside that attach the side panels. Does the range top need to be removed? Do the burners need to be removed?
I really appreciate your help. I don’t want to break anything while trying to replace the hinges.

Figured it out. . .

In order to remove the side panels, the range top needs to be removed.

To remove the range top, remove all four burners by twisting not quite a quarter turn. Depending on the installation, it may be a turn counter-clockwise or clockwise. Disconnect the igniter wires (quick disconnect). Remove the 4 screws holding the range top to the burner support. The top can now be removed. Tilt the front up until the back of the range top clears the control panel.

Now the side panels can be removed (if replacing both hinges). There are about 4 screws on the back of the stove to remove. Two or three screws on the top of each side. Pull up on the panel. The front part of the panel has grooves/notches that fit to fixed screws on the stove body. Don’t remove those screws.

After the side panel has been removed, the heat shield (or whatever it is called) can be removed. Oh. There’s a screw on the back of the stove that hold that shield in place. Lift the shield up, “jiggling” it out. BE CAREFUL with the ignitor module and other wires on the right side.

Two screws hold the hinge in place, top and bottom. Remove old/damaged hinge.
Replace with new.

Put everything back together in reverse order. (Good luck)

BEFORE ALL OF THE ABOVE, REMOVE the oven door by grabbing the sides of the partly open door and pull up. The door should slide off the hinge “stakes”.
