Lower Spray Arm Removal

The dishwasher water flow is very low, and I’ve noticed a lot of large pieces of stuff (potato peels, etc) in the bottom part of the washer. I am having trouble removing the lower spray arm so I can clean it out. I backed the plastic screw in the center of the arm out until it stops, and the arm still does not come out. Any help? Thanks, Chuck

Hi Chuckjacobs123

To remove the bottom spray arm hold it with one hand and turn the center screw ccw to release the spray arm, then just pull it up.

#1 Tell your wife and kids to rinse the dishes before placing them in the dishwasher, you wouldn’t believe the stuff I found clogging the pump suction!
#2 The Appliance repair website has some great photos of parts in it, if you look for your model number. This helped to figure out how everything is pieced together.
#3 Thanks Gene. The arm actually screws OUT of the screw, and is pulled up (the screw stays in the dishwasher, which is removed later).

my dishwasher won’t drain all the water out still some in bottom after wash is complete it is a amana full door three wash arms

after my dishwasher is done it still had water in bottom
washes good but water in bottom up to heaters
is full door three wash arms
