On the GE GDF670SYV1FS, if the control panel became locked after installing the new main control board, I would first treat this as a Control Lock setting, not assume the new board is defective.

Try unlocking the controls first

With the dishwasher powered on and the door open, look at the buttons for a LOCK / Control Lock symbol. Press and hold the button associated with that lock symbol for about 3 seconds.

You should hear a tone and the lock indicator should go out. Then close the door and try starting a cycle.

If it will not unlock

  1. Turn the dishwasher breaker OFF for 5 minutes.
  2. Restore power.
  3. Open the door and try the 3-second Control Lock hold again.
  4. Make sure you’re holding the actual button associated with the lock symbol—not just pressing Start/Cancel.

If the panel still shows locked and ignores the unlock command, I would go back to the recent board installation. Disconnect power, then reseat every connector at the new main control board, particularly the communication/UI harness. Look closely for a connector that’s not fully seated, a backed-out terminal, or a pin that got bent during installation.
