Brand: Maytag Model Number: mrt118fffm00 Main Symptom: inconsistent temperature in frig What happens & when: temperature is ranging from 40 to 50 degrees. I’m trying to replace refrigerator thermistor, but cannot locate it. I am thinking that it is located somewhere in the refrigerator diffuser. I am unable to remove the plastic housing from the frig diffuser. Removed screw in it fattening it to the top of the refrigerator box, however still seems to be something holding it to the bottom of the piece on the right.
Any help with the frig thermistor location or how to remove the diffuser cover of is appreciated.
Error Code (if any): n/a
Parts or tests already tried: replaced freezer thermistor, defrost heater and capacitor.

The thermistor should be sitting just above a rectangular cover, right behind and a little to the left of the temperature control housing.
For future reference, if you ever need to get into the diffuser, start by removing the bottom cover of the diffuser. That’ll expose a screw at the bottom of the diffuser housing—once that screw’s out, you’ll have access inside.
Thank you both for your responses. Unfortunately that location is not present in this model. Any other thoughts? I did not see it either inside the control housing or the refrigerator diffuser housing. Please advise. Thanks in advance.
