Lint screen spring

My spring/clip that holds the lint screen has come loose. I cannot find any diagrams that show how it mounts or attaches. I have removed the toe kick and the vent cover and have access to both sides of the spring. Just no obvious signs of how it attaches. Any ideas?

I have the same issue as John (see quote above):The ‘‘CLIP’’ is part #2 in the Bulkhead Parts Diagram. It just fell out as I was disassembling the dryer to replace something else. I tried every possible configuration I could think of, but it still doesn’t seem right. There is a little slot for it in the metal lint outlet/fan front cover, it looks like it should go inside the lint outlet area, perhaps acting as a guide for the lint filter or something, but it is just hanging kind of loose in there. Perhaps it belongs on the outside, somehow supporting the door frame?? The Parts diagram only shows the part, but doesn’t show how it attaches to anything. Please help! Thank you!
