Main Symptom: Electrical two electrical wires came out of the socket and i don’t know which one goes in what opening or does it matter?

It will not matter which wire goes to which terminal on this light socket.
When I placed both wires separately in the socket the light automatically came on but I could not turn it off with the power button on the range.
Is this the same issue that caused you to replace the light socket?
No, I was actually trying to open up the back of the range because the light on the right side wasn’t working and as I was doing that I guess I somehow managed to pull on of the wires out of the left bulb socket. Then I broke the plastic basket that actually holds the socket in place so I replaced it and here we are now not being able to figure out the wiring.
So one other question, when the wire pulled out was there any arching that happened or was the unit unplugged at the time?
There was no arching.
I have the issue fixed now, luckily a family member was able to help me get the issue taken care of and I’m all good now. Thanks for all the feedback.
