do you think the lid swith is bad…i tried to test it with a meter and i am not sure im doing it correctly
Most likely, If you can find your wiring diagram it give a lot of that information, should be inside the control panel.
Nat
i have it…what are you looking for on it?
Let me take a look
Nat
i think i can scan this and email it to you..what is your email
I found it online…
Ok You need to test for continuity between where the yellow & light blue wires attach and the white & light blue. You will need to activate the switch open & closed while testing.
Post what you get.
Nat
i have the switch removed. let me look at the wiring harness to id the colors
when i test the white and blue the meter does not move in the open or closed position. the yellow and blue will read nothing, then when i push the button it reads 0.
The part is bad, replace the part with the one I gave earlier and you should be good to go.
Nat
thanks for your help

Is there any way to jumper the switch? I need to drain the water.
No, not on that kind of switch. Not that we’ve found. If it were a whirlpool you could…
Nat
i figured a way to jump the switch. i used flat connectors and put two wires together into the black(line) and one into the yellow(motor) and the other end into the blue(machine) and low and behold, it works. thanks again for your help. i will order the part tonight.
Just don’t try to run it that way, don’t want to make a bigger issue!!
