LG Washer getting "LE" error

Hello,
I have a LG WM2277HB washer and had it for 6 years. Sometimes, this washer gives a “LE” error after a few mins. However, this was resolved by unplugging the unit to reset. Then, plugging it back in and everything would be normal. Now, the “LE” error will not go away. I’ve contacted a local repair man that fixes LG washers and he said it was the main system board that needs changing. So I did and order part # 6871ER1003C and replaced. Still, the error persists.

note: the drum spins, water pumps and drains. However, when the drum spins, it makes a grinding noise that doesn’t seem normal. However, when the unit is off and i spin the drum by hand, it’s very smooth and makes no sound.

Based on the above info, what do you think is the issue?

Thanks in advance!
Peter

I’ve replaced the Hall Sensor and now the drum spins freely and not getting the “LE” error code. However, I’m now getting a “UE” error. According to the manual, this is due to unbalance load. So far, I’ve tried a light, medium and heavy load and still get the “UE” error. it seems it goes thru the complete wash cycle, regardless of setting, and stops right before it spins and gives a beep “UE” error.

I’ve already check the balance sensor on the back right side and i can hear the balance ball bouncing around when i tap the black sensor.

Do i now need to replace the load balance sensor as well?

note: i’ve already tried to unplug, hold the power button for 5 secs.

Any help would be great.

Thanks!
Peter
