LG Washer Error Code dE1 - Won't Lock

Model Number: WM4270HVA
Main Symptom: Door latch code
What happens & when: Just stopped in the beginning of a cycle and won’t restart

Error Code (if any): Error Code dE1
Parts or tests already tried: Unplugged for 10 min, restarted in maintenance mode to try to clear the codes, wiped down the seal

From what I am seeing online it could be the DOOR SWITCH or DOOR STRIKE. Is there a way to know what it could be without ordering both and tearing apart my washing machine? I’m generally handy, but this could be more than I can handle? I think I’d like to give it a shot!

The door strike AP5787149 and the door switch assembly AP5672154 are both pretty easy to access and replace, you don’t need to teardown the washer to get to either of them. The door switch looks more complicated, but our video attached to the door switch page below goes over the process.
