LG Moisture sensor connector

Brand: LG
Model Number: DLEX7800VE
Main Symptom: repaired broken connector
What happens & when: While cleaning dryer filter one of the connectors of the moisture sensor failed. I repair the broker connector and reconnected the two connectors and reassembled the dryer filter after cleaning. I want to make sure that I have not taken any safety risk by repairing connector versus replacing with LG moisture sensor connect assembly? Also is there a way to can confirm the moisture sensor circuit is working as expected? After reassembly, the LG dryer operate normally.

Error Code (if any): none
Parts or tests already tried: replaced OEM connector with a similar connector
Photos / video link: none

I like using the OEM parts when they are available. Your repair may be ok, I would check the resistance of the circuit to ensure there is no short or damaged wiring.

Thank you Brad. I assume, I should check the circuit at the LG Moisture wire harness where it connects to the main control board versus at the filter housing where the connector failed? Do you have any recommendations on how to confirm the wiring is good?

Use a multimeter and check wiring for continuity and check to ensure it is not grounded.
