Main Symptom: Error Code rS
What happens & when: I replaced the evaporator fan motor in the freezer compartment. Now the error code rS popped up on the door. I believe I’m going to have to replace the Refrigerator Defrost Heater MEE63545708. But while researching the issue, I came across another article that said the LG Sensor PCB EBR71326804 should be replaced. Any help/direction on this issue? Thanks

Make sure the refrigerator sensor is plugged in. The defrost heater should only be replaced if the evaporator is iced up and not going through a defrost cycle.

As far as I know, the sensor is plugged in

Can you send me a video or tell me which sensor I need to check to ensure its plugged in? As far as I can tell everything is plugged in. Thanks

Whatever area you were working in. I just look for the simple things starting out. It would be pretty obvious if it were unplugged. Also, always make sure the refrigerator is unplugged when replacing any parts. You can take out a control board if you don’t.

Copy that. Ya I’ve checked everything and even replaced the thermistor. After about 24 hrs the error code rS appears on the front panel. So I guess I’ll need to replace heater part #MEE63545708
