My LG/Kenmore Front Load gas dryer # 796.8178 - The cycle selector is acting weird. I turn the knob to change the cycle it doesn’t respond. If i keep spinning the knob, it will finally jump to the next cycle selection, or it will jump backwards to previous cycle selection.

I tried to trouble shoot - Could it be the LG dryer user interface # EBR84644701 ?

all the other buttons on the panel work fine. Part # EBR84644701 is over $350 just for the part.

I’m hoping it’s something else.. any other ideas?

It would be the user interface and you have the correct part number.It is on factory backorder with no eta set.

Thanks for the response. I was kind of hoping it wasn’t that part number considering it costs $400. I can’t even find a Refurb anywhere.
